Uzo Nwadugbo

FOUNDING MEMBER | OAKLAND CHAPTER

Oakland native, Uzo Nwadugbo, describes himself as a community activist. Born and raised in the inner city of East Oakland, CA, he witnessed the risks and disadvantages that flooded his community at an early age. He went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, graduating from San Jose State in the Spring of 2015.

His life experiences have provided him with a unique & authentic perspective on organizing, community outreach, and black advocacy. He firmly believes in the power of unity, communication, and spiritual awareness. The Black Neighborhood serves as a vessel further allowing him to form genuine connections with the populations served.

Uzo aims to unify his community no matter their background, economic, social or cultural identifiers. He recognizes the significance to not only desire to see that change takes place, but also take the initiative to make it happen.
